Rock n Roll

This is a Lyn Brown pattern called "Rockin Roll Jelly Roll".  A fun, fast, easy pattern to do.  I made mine out of a Kaffe Fassett Jelly Roll with a black and white dot as the accent.

Friends have brought my attention to the fabric's at Ikea. I love these large, bold prints as backings... and this went perfect with this quilt.

Just catching up...

Just catching up......so, the few postings below are a few of the little projects I have been working on in 2012.  I have been really bad about posting this year.

On top of these little projects, I continue to work on charity quilts for the two guilds I belong to and have now completed six quilts...sorry, did not take pictures.  I have also been working on a Christmas Stocking Project for one of the guilds, will be sewing those up next month, will post pictures at that time

I'm almost ready to post pictures of some quilts....YEAH!!!  Working on quilting those and the binding.

My grand daughter, Madison, made me this image on her iPad, some app she has.
That's what I'm doing...Keeping Calm and Sewing On

Will post again soon,

Doll Quilts - 2012

I have been taking classes from Lyn Brown on Monday's for a few months now.  This year she has us working on Doll Quilts as one of many of her projects.

Great way to have us practice on a smaller version.  These are three of five that I have completed.

Fun project for sure.

Easter favors for our guest's

Not sure if any of you are involved with Pinerest.  Check into it, great place to find quick projects.

Anyway, these are a petite Mason Jar, glued in top a a candlestick holder and filled with Jelly Beans...decorated with a ribbon.

It was just a quick Party Favor I sent home with our Easter Dinner quest's, my sister and her family and my three girls and a friend of my daughter-in-law's.

Fun to do!!

Another unfinished project off my list!

I have gotten back into some of my embroidery...and really enjoying it.  This is a Christmas runner I started a while back and just finished the binding this morning, YEAH!!!!

President's Quilts

Just a quick post...these were some blocks I worked on for a couple of Guild President's Quilts.  There was one more of a house that I didn't get a picture of prior to turning it in.
Fun to do

Spring Break...time to sew!!!!

I had my grand daughter's, Madison and Olivia, over to sew the other day.

They are getting so much better with their sewing.  They made these, what I call thread catchers, for their Mom's.  Now I know their Mom's will not use these as thread catchers as they do not sew...but I'm sure they will find something to put in them.

Because they were spending the night, I took them to Jo Ann's and had them pick out the fabric to make their PJ's to sleep in.  Aren't they just so cute.

It was a fun afternoon, they were very tired by the end of the day for sure. They both got cozy in their PJ's and we watch "We Bought a  Zoo" and ate Rocky Road ice cream the rest of the evening.

Love my grand daughters...fun day.

Happy Easter

Wishing all of you a very Happy Easter

This is a little wall hanging I completed for the holiday.  It was fun to work on as it had some appliqué, embroidery, fabric paints and of course piecing and quilting.

Wishing you and your families a very Happy Springtime!!!
